About myself:  I earned my B.S. degree with a major in mathematics from the College of Charleston and I earned my M.A.T. degree with a major in mathematics from the Citadel. Before coming to BEHS I taught at my alma mater, the High School of Charleston, from 1976  until it was closed in 1982.  Thus, I am beginning my 29th year at BE and my 35th in my teaching career! This past summer I served as a reader for the AP Calculus AB-BC exams and I attended a Mu Alpha Theta math convention with four students.  My husband, David, is a BE graduate as well as each of our three children:  Desiree, David, and Leslie. In addition to my school activities listed above I volunteer as the financial advisor for a sorority at the College of Charleston and I teach evening courses at Trident Technical College. Outside of my school and community  activities I enjoy being with my family, seeing my monthly Bunko group,  going to the beach, attending Carolina Gamecocks or Panthers football games, going to C of C Cougar basketball games, and watching “House” followed by “The Closer”.
